Please read over this letter and if you agree please send it to out to our goodlooking Governor Schwarzenegger
Tell California Governor to Sign Condor Protection Bill Click here to take action: http://actionnetwork.org/campaign/california_condor California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger this week caved to pressure from the National Rifle Association and Republican legislators, canning one of his own Fish and Game Commissioners for daring to have an opinion on the protection of endangered California condors from lead poisoning. The California Senate and Assembly recently passed an historic protection measure for condors, Assembly Bill 821 (Nava, D-Santa Barbara), the Ridley-Tree Condor Preservation Act, which would require non-lead ammunition for big-game hunting in condor habitat. The California Department of Fish and Game and the Fish and Game Commission have opposed the legislation and urged Governor Schwarzenegger to veto it, which he is expected to do. The Condor Preservation Act would require hunters to use non-lead ammunition for hunting big game and coyotes within the California condor range in central and southern California, beginning July 1, 2008. The Condor Preservation Act would significantly reduce lead poisoning of condors in California and is an important first step in getting lead out of the food chain. Please contact Governor Schwarzenegger and tell him that that putting the condor on the state quarter isn't good enough: He needs to sign the Condor Preservation Act into law to stop California's condors from being poisoned by lead ammunition from big-game hunting. He also needs to reinstate Judd Hanna, a commissioner who worked fairly and impartially to conserve California's wildlife, and to quit intimidating the commission on controversial issues. For more information on condors and lead poisoning, visit www.savethecondors.org *************************************** Jeff Miller Conservation Advocate Center for Biological Diversity 1095 Market Street, Suite 511 San Francisco, CA 94103 Phone: (415) 436-9682 x303 Fax: (415) 436-9683 Web site: www.biologicaldiversity.org

Hiking on private 4,000 acre reserve
One day each year Big Creek Reserve opens to the public for a day of hiking and tours. One of the most beautiful, pristine watersheds on the face of the earth, Big Creek is worth the drive to see it. Normally, the reserve is only for educational use. It is part of the UC Natural Reserve System, which has about 40 reserves throughout the state. Each reserve is operated by a specific UC campus; Big Creek belongs to UC Santa Cruz. Absolutely beautiful, check out the website! Especially the quicktime VR panoramas! http://www.redshift.com/~bigcreek
Nit Wit Ridge, CAMBRIA
No way, I have lived here 7 months, and have just found this place. It's called Nit Wit Ridge in Cambria. It's this old house that this man built in like 1920 or so. It's made out of JUNK. I took the tour today with my visiting parents, and WOW, it was so cool. He had made his house by hand. It's a national site now, and the tour was great. He was taken out of the place in his early 90's, even though he didn't want to go. His stuff is still there to view. It's made out fo shells...cement..lot's of rock, and wood from the ocean. It hasn't changed in over 60 years. PLEASE go see it. I think it cost us $10 a person for a 45 min tour including a short 20 min video. It was raining, and we still went. It's worth it if you like History that hasn't been touched..and ART from an old man who made his home from JUNK!
I love Central Coast of California, I want to go to get a get a wine tour with Gabrielle or go to dinner, dancing or so.
good place to search for the coast info
Wine country tour...
Your wine tours sound very good! I've never been up there to a wine tour in the central coast, it sounds like fun! I toured some winerys here in Southern California like Guasi Wineries, and San Antonio Winery in Riverside, CA. They were ok, but the ones you are talking about seem really cool and exciting! I'd like more info on taking a tour with you, you seem like you really know your stuff about wine! Thanks alot Gabrielle! Later BAMF(Rick Valva)
mmm, wine country. And a personalized tour to boot. Central CA is looking better by the minute. Nothing quite so much fun as riding around from one winery to the next crashing tasting parties and getting hammered while enjoying the scenery (and the company). sounds like fun Gabby Tim
Just some tips for those of you passing through looking for good Surf Local. Everyone comes in knowing Pismo, but the best surf of the Central Coast comes in at Morro and Jalama in Lompoc.
