ATASCADERO ELKS LODGE TO HOST BLOOD DRIVE

United Blood Services of the Central Coast Bringing Two Buses To Atascadero The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Atascadero Elks Lodge #2733 will hold a blood drive in partnership with the United Blood Services (UBS) of the Central Coast on Friday, July 30th from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. The blood drive will be held at the Lodge which is located at 1516 El Camino Real in Atascadero. Individuals may donate blood once every 56 days roughly every other month. WHO: The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Atascadero Elks Lodge #2733 and the United Blood Services of the Central Coast. WHAT: Blood Drive WHEN: Friday, July 30th, from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. WHERE: Atascadero Elks Lodge, 1516 El Camino Real in Atascadero Donors are asked to make an appointment by calling UBS in San Luis Obispo at (805) 543-4290 or by signing-up at the Lodge office in Atascadero. Appointments are appreciated, but not necessary. Walk-ins are also welcome. The Atascadero Elks provide electrical hookups for the UBS bus generators, bathrooms for clients and staff, provide walkie talkies for communication between the bus and sign up areas, plus set up the lobby of the lodge as a waiting area. Since its inception in 1987 the Atascadero Elks have contributed in excess of $400,000 to various programs including: youth activities, local sports, programs for handicapped and needy children, patriotic programs, veterans programs and many community activities. In addition, the Elks participate in drug awareness programs at our local schools and distribute dictionaries to all 3rd graders in the Area. The Atascadero Elks Lodge was established in the City of Atascadero on September 26th, 1987. Their mission: To inculcate the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs.
